Over 1,000 of companies showed their news and solutions for the urban ando road transport to more than 50,000 attendants to the appointment. These positive data and its 30 years’s experience make SOLUTRANS a benchmark fair in France and at European level.
Mario Fiems, director of SOLUTRANS, stated that the objective of the hosts of the fair is to offer a 360º vision of the transportation market, from the conception of the vehicles to their maintenance, including logistic issues. To this end, they sought out a wide and diverse range of products, including 11 Spanish companies, four more than in 2017.
This year, the fair hosted its 15th edition with the topic “The mobility of the future.” Because of this, the companies commited to the development of solutions focused on helping the transport industry to become more inteligent, efficient, safe, sutainable and profitable have had during the fair the perfect showcase to show thir products.
The electrification of the vehicles has been one of the central axes during the fair. All the exhibitors showed their offer of electric, hybrid and hydrogen vehicles. Renault Trucks, showed a 26 tonne D Wide Z.E 6×2 model without bodywork, the ideal solution for preserving air quality and reducing city congestion. The French manufacturer's stand also provided an opportunity to see first-hand the new Master ZE, a platform cab with a real range of 120 km and a payload of 500 kg, the perfect solution for last mile delivery without traffic restrictions.
Gas, as in the previous edition, was also present, so the professionals could know all the alternatives that are at their disposal.
Another central axis was the autonomous vehicle. Connected vehicles and data management are other topics that were discussed in many of the conferences and round tables that took place at the fair. DAF brought its new CF Electri model, a fully electric 4x2 tractor developed for distribution applications in urban areas, with a range of up to 100 kilometres and its batteries have a 30-minute quick charge function and can be fully charged in one and a half hours.
Some companies that are part of our platform have an important role in the manufacture of products for the commercial vehicle. Air Fren, AL-KO, Cojali, Fersa, or Metalcaucho are some of the companies with presence in this sector.
Cojali, a leading company in the development of diagnostic software and technological solutions for industrial vehicles, participated this year in SOLUTRANS. The company brought the latest developments of the Jaltest Telematics platform, the first solution for fleet management that includes multi-brand remote diagnosis, as well as solutions adapted with coverage for each type of vehicle. Among the main innovations introduced in the latest version of Jaltest Telematics is the integration of the cold chain, which allows companies in charge of transporting refrigerated goods to comply with specific conservation, management and control requirements demanded by the pharmaceutical and food sectors.
AIR FREN is a specialist in air brake systems for trucks, trailers and buses. Since it was founded in 1983, it has been engaged in the manufacture and distribution of spare parts for commercial vehicles in the aftermarket sector.
On the other hand, AL-KO, a pioneer in the manufacture of shock absorbers, offers a wide range of shock absorbers and suspension elements, providing innovative technical solutions for a wide range of means of transport, from cars to commercial vehicles, including trains, trams, armoured vehicles, military vehicles, etc. In addition, AL-KO is the European market leader in the manufacture of shock absorbers for commercial vehicles with air suspension, accounting for more than 50% of the European fleet.
Fersa is a Spanish multinational company devoted to the design, development, manufacture and distribution of complete high-quality bearing solutions for the automotive market.
