The Spanish automotive industry has once again showcased its strength, innovation capacity, and global reach at two major international events for the automotive components sector: Equip Auto Paris 2025 and Automotive Meetings Madrid 2025.
Two interlinked events — one focused on aftermarket solutions and the other on the supply chain — where Autoparts From Spain, the platform that brings together leading Spanish automotive component suppliers, took center stage, enhancing the visibility, competitiveness, and international projection of Spanish manufacturers.
Both events highlighted Spain’s position as Europe’s industrial benchmark in, a country that combines the expertise of major multinationals with a robust network of SMEs leading the way in innovation, digitalization, and sustainability.
From October 14th to 18th, Equip Auto Paris celebrated its 50th edition at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, gathering over 1,400 exhibitors and 100,000 professionals from all over the world.
In this edition, which featured the Spanish Group Pavilion held by SERNAUTO, Autoparts From Spain once again spoke up on behalf of Spanish suppliers in a key market: France, the second-largest destination for Spanish automotive component exports, representing €3.842 billion (23.1% of total exports).
The Spanish Pavilion became a hub for buyers, distributors, and industry professionals eager to discover “Made in Spain”, excellence, synonymous with quality, innovation, and sustainability.
Lizarte stood out among the attending companies. The Navarre-based company specialized in remanufacturing of automotive components following circular economy principles and environmental efficiency. Its approach demonstrated how sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand, reinforcing Spain’s image as an innovative country committed to the mobility of the future.
Equip Auto 2025 also served as a showcase for the major trends shaping the European aftermarket: electrification, process digitalization, and environmental impact reduction — areas where Spanish suppliers are already advancing decisively, integrating smart and sustainable solutions throughout the entire value chain.
Just one week later, Automotive Meetings Madrid 2025 brought together more than 220 companies and 600 professionals from 18 countries at IFEMA, generating nearly 4,000 B2B meetings. Held by ABE (Advanced Business Events) in collaboration with SERNAUTO, the event cemented Madrid’s position as an international hub for industrial and technological cooperation.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Jordi García Brustenga, Secretary of State for Industry, who emphasized that “Spain is a reliable partner in the technological transformation currently reshaping the automotive industry.” During his address, he highlighted the Plan Auto 2030, promoted jointly by ANFAC, SERNAUTO, and the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, and announced a new PERTE VEC funding with €400 million allocated to accelerate electrification and connectivity projects across the electric and connected vehicle value chain.
Javier Pujol, President of SERNAUTO, underscored the strength of Spain’s industrial ecosystem: “We are the world’s ninth-largest vehicle producer, with over 1,000 suppliers, combining the leadership of major multinationals with a strong network of SMEs,” he stated.
The companies belonging to Autoparts From Spain continue to prove that innovation, quality, and sustainability are inseparable pillars of growth. Their participation in these trade fairs not only boosts exports but also strengthens Spain’s image as a European benchmark in automotive components.
