Digitalization is part of the Spanish automotive suppliers’ DNA. The sector invests every year more than 4% of the billing (€1,458 million in 2019) in R&D&I. It places Spain as a country of reference worldwide.
Spanish automotive component exports represented 58% of sector’s billing in 2019. This year, exports have been affected by the decrease of productive activity due to coronavirus. Restrictions to commercial exchanges and the disruption in the production chain globally also played a part.
Autoparts from Spain, as a platform that supports Internationalization of Spanish automotive suppliers, is further analyzing all the opportunities that the Chinese automotive market offers to the Spanish aftermarket sector.
