The Spanish Association of Automotive Suppliers (SERNAUTO) took up the Responsible Business Comission as an element to contribute with the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
The Spanish sector for automotive suppliers and equipment is, as a whole, a strong asset in the vehicle value chain. It provides around 75% of this market’s business. Currently, it is one of the sector’s top exporters: up to 82% of total production is delivered to more than 130 countries. In Spain, it employs more than 370,000 people directly and indirectly.
Between September and December 2019, Spanish automotive components, worth €6.850 million, were exported. A 4% decrease compared with the same period last year, breaking the trend of growth during last years.
